In search of inspiration for a short story I'm writing for a school project?

Ok, I so far: It is a Western, and the entire plot takes place in the space of one hour.

How a cowboy who has a mistrust of Indians, learns that his ideas about them are unfounded after he was found lost in the mountains, and help find his way. He learns a lesson about kindness and giving that Indian stocks food and beverages and helps to find the meaning he is in search of travel.
